there are two main guitar styles: Gibson and Fender. and ppl find what they like. i personally felt like the les paul just fit like a glove to what sound i was looking for.

So many different types of drumming styles that I'm not getting into it. lol Main drums are Tama, Pearl, and Yamaha. I personally love my Tama set for its deep sound.

i think that guitars as well as drums can have hundreds of options as far as different combos. like, i perfer my les pauls to have EMG 81 and 85 pickups, 10-52 ernie ball strings, and i restring it with he strings going over the brigde instead of trough it.
now my jackson, i like the neck pickup super hot for solos and i use 10-46 ernie ball strings.
infinant possabilities man..

I like my mixture of my crappy first set, First Act, in which I tuned to now be so crappy, and my newer set, Tama Rockstar. I need new drumheads, but when I get them, I only use Remo. Give me that deep bassy sound I like. As for cymbals, I'm a Zildjian man. I have ZBTs on there, but I'd sure love some Z Customs. Its specifically for metal. Ill Nino uses them, Tommy Lee uses them, etc... Don't really care about the cymbal stands... as long as they hold my crap up, I'm fine. lol I also don't care about the bass pedal type, I have a Pulse double bass pedal, and it works just fine, and it was the cheapest one. The good thing about drums is that you don't need an amp.

Well you could be just like dream theater and have every type of drum and symbol right in front of you and use every single one of them in one song. Like he even has a freaking gong most of the time
